HAPPY 2006, PALS!! Hope this is a year full of good treats and good walks for all of you!

As you may or may not know, New Year's Day is my good Pal, Little Bit's ninth birthday. Let's all have a virtual party for her!! Break out your peanut butter filled Kongs, rawhides, cookies, chicken and any other delicacy and chow down in LB's honor today!!

WOW! Hope Santa was as good to all you Pups as he was to me!! Squeaky toys and rawhides and cookies and FAMILY all here!! What a great weekend I had!! I even had my first-ever experience of playing with a CHILD!! I've never before been around little kids, and Mom is really proud of how well I behaved. At first, Mom tried to keep me in another part of the house, but I outsmarted her and more or less walked over the gate she had put up, so she carefully allowed me to join the party. I had sooooooo much fun!! Little kids are COOL!!! I hope I get to play with kids again soon.

Snow Dog!

Oh boy! Our grass has been replaced for a long time now with my favorite substance on Earth (well, next to peanut butter, anyway!) S~N~O~W !!!!! I love everything about it!! Running in it, digging in it, eating it! There is just nothing bad about it in my book! Beautiful !! I hope the snow stays forever...I LOVES the cold!

For some reason, Mom's been doing a lot more shopping lately. I'm not sure what that is, but I don't like it when she leaves! Then she comes home and has bunches of bags with her--but not grocery bags like a usual shopping trip, and she won't even let me sniff them. What's up with that? I think it all has to do with that fake tree they put in the living room--the one that has all the lights on it. I knew right away it wasn't real--trees don't have lights! DUH, Mom! Sure is suspicious. I'll keep you posted, Pals, if things get any wierder around here!

Turkey and snow cones!

Hope all my US Pals had a great Thanksgiving!! And I hope all my international Pals had a great November 24th :)!! Not only did I get turkey (mmmmm..turkey) for Thanksgiving, I got a snowstorm!! We have about 9 inches of that glorious, beautiful fluffy white goodness right outside our door, right now!! For a doggie who likes to drink only very cold water, the snow is perfect!! I go outside and put my face in the snow and just open my mouth and walk along and scoop all that freezing wonderfulness in. MMMMMMMM.......snow! I'm a regular canine snow plow! Then, it gets even better, 'cause Dad gets out the tractor with the big flat scoopy thing on it and makes these great mountains of snow for me to jump in and to dig in! I am one happy gal! It's good to be Skye!! Gotta run, Pups! Mom's going shopping and I have to give her my list!

November Bug o' the Month

Hey Pups! Long time no bark!! What a busy time I've been having!!!

First, since I know you are all waiting on the edge of your seats, I need to let you in on the November Bug o' the month. **Drum roll** It's Asian Lady Beetles!! I didn't think we were going to have any around this year but in the past 2 days they are in full ....bloom? Attack? Anyhow, they are very plentiful, and very crunchy. They have a slightly tart flavor, and you have to eat quite a few of them to get your fill-- but that isn't a pr0blem because there are thousands of them all over our house at any given daylight hour. Bone Appetit!

If you haven't already, please check out BASIL's diary where Barbara tells all about the big wedding day. She describes it very well. We all had a wonderful time, and now my Jay is my forever brother!! What more could a pup want? A big sister and TWO big borthers, BOL!

Barbara and Jay got to meet Little Bit and Lyle and their pack too. They sure had a great trip! Don't forget to VOTE FOR LYLE for CONGRESS!! A vote for LYLE means more CHICKEN for us ALL!!

Mom and Dad have cleaned out the vegetable garden for the winter, so my adventures out there will be limited until next summer. There are still a few stray green tomatoes though.....Ah, Yes! It's good to be Skye!

Wedding Daze

Hi Pals!
My big sister's wedding is on SWEETEST DAY!!! Isn't that COOL?? Just wanted to let all of you know that I'll be back to play here next week. I might have a chance to check the mail.....but Mom says she has lots to do, and Basil and I have to put the finishing touches on our "conga line" for the ceremony, so we'll let everyone know how wonderful it all was when we return next week. We're all just so excited!! My Jay will finally be my official brother!! YIPPEE! Woofs and Wags and HUGS to all!!

Oh them BEANS!

Hello Pups!

Oh boy! The second planting of beans is ready, and Dad picked the first ones this week. I am, once again, officially, literally and figuratively FULL O' BEANS.

And now, Mom has the dehydrator full of sweet tater slices to make sweet tater chips!! Oh how I loves my Mom! It's SO good to be Skye..........

Just to let you know....

I didn't get my ears pierced! I really wanted to (name one glamorous gal who DOESN'T have pierced ears!!) but Mom says no piercings until I'm at least 7. BOL! Just you wait, Mom!! I'm not even allowed to date until then, either. What an ol' fuddy duddy. Good thing I have such a hip fashion consultant--she's the BEST!

Anyhowl, this wedding thing is almost here. BASIL is giving Chicken Dance lessons, if anyone is interested. I'm giving Bunny Hop lessons, 'cause I just look so cute doing the Bunny Hop, WOL! And both of these dances and the classic music that goes with them will be very valuable on the Congressional campaign trail with LYLEand the Pep Band! He's recently added some new planks to his platform that will be great for ALL of us!!

So, you see? It's Good to be Skye....Pretty soon I'll have Mom all to myself all the time again, Lyle will be our elected Congressdog and we'll all get CHICKEN, and it'll be too cold for those evil hot-air balloons to torment me!! AND, BESTEST of ALL!!! I'll have a NEW BROTHER (IN-LAW)!! Oh, how I loves him!!
