Arrival Story:
I went to the pound because I heard they had a Sheltie. It had already been claimed by Sheltie Rescue. Since I had come to save a dog from death row, I was determined I wasn't leaving without one. It was a hard decision to choose from all the dogs, but I wanted a small dog - I already had 3 at home and I didn't think one more little dog would make too big of an impact on my budget. So I picked Duddy. He was an adorable Jack Russell puppy with a white body, black ear patches and a perfectly round, black patch just above his tail. He was friendly and spirited and he is the one I chose. I have not regreted it for a moment.

Bio:
Duddy is a typical Jack Russell, full of energy and life. He is my comic relief when I have had a trying day. A Jack Russell needs the right kind of owner. If you haven't had experience with a Jack - you need to meet a few before deciding if this is the kind of dog for you. My Duddy would be in trouble a lot if I didn't know how to deal with the peculiarities of Jacks. He was neutered by the pound once I adopted him and I took him to obedience class, where he earned a Canine Good Citizen title. Now he is on a quest to become the next super hero - "Super Under Duddy"! Stay tuned for more on our hero.
