Arrival Story:
For weeks, we'd been talking about getting a dog. We watched dog shows on tv, obsessively checked in at the Durham APS web site, and browsed books on dogs at bookstores. Finally, we went to the APS shelter to look at the dogs. Giles, formerly Timmy, was so small and timid. We asked to see him, and in the visiting room, he crawled under the bench beneath our feet. We couldn't coax him out with treats or toys. But I knew that I couldn't let this one go. Of course, he was only so timid and sweet because he was sick with kennel cough. Once that cleared up in a couple of weeks, he became and remains a rambunctious, never-without-enery. He wants to play all the time!

Bio:
In his sleep, Giles dreams of being a superhero dog named Gilesbot9000. He wears goggles and a jet pack. He is currently working on a semi-autobiographical, wholly-fantastic comic strip titled, "The Secret Adventures of the Amazing Gilesbot9000."
