Arrival Story:
After having a Brussels Griffon before (Elmo,) I knew that this was the breed for me. Gizmo came from a breeder in Texas, and was flown here at eight weeks. The breeder accompanied him on the plane and delivered him to us. =)
Gizmo is a purebred AKC registered Brussels Griffon with a combined 50+ champions in his pedigree. In 2005, he graduated from 'puppy college' at the local PetSmart, and his trainer had a Brussels, too! Everywhere we go, everyone always wants to pet him and inquires about his breed. He's a big hit at the vet, the bank, and pretty much everyplace else we take him. We don't think of him as 'just a dog' .. he's our baby!! This morning, my Mom & Dad took me to every pet store and specialty dog store in Portland (PetSmart, PetCo, Doggie Delight, Lexi Dog, etc..) I'm spoiled rotten, so of course I got something from each! When we went to PetSmart (this always happens) a lot of people wanted to know what breed I was and pet me. One of the girls who works in the adoption center said "thank you so much for letting me say hello. I've never seen one of these dogs in real life before!" She thought I was cute, and even gave me a treat, and I didn't have to sit up or nuthin! :)
Then, we went to the park, and I peed on every tree.. after that, we went and got my "pawprint" birthday cake & party hat from Doggie Delight.. it's chicken flavored.. YUM!
Gotta go now.. this furry snake toy I got today must die!
