Arrival Story:
Scruffy followed me to church on Easter Sunday in 1997. (My mother had just remarked a week or two earlier that she loved having our cat, but really missed having a dog.) We were told by various people who worked or lived near our church that she had apparently been a stray for at least 2 weeks prior to her finding us and kept trying to get into the parish elementary school to play w/ the children. I checked w/ the local animal shelter and kept an eye out for "lost dog" signs, but no one seemed to be looking for her so she became a very much loved member of our family.

Bio:
Scruffy still misses "her" cat, Paws and has four feline "nieces" and "nephews" also living in MD-- Tweek, Townshend, Smudge and Caramel.
