The Black Arrow of Nottingham

They say it's your birthday!

So yesterday was my birthday and I didn't even get a cake. Sure dad gave me a marrow bone but he always gives me a marrow bone. I did get to play with friends nearly all day but did they even get me a Kong or a toy? No. It wasn't all bad. I played with this cute 8 month old Shepard girl named Sophie most of the time. She's nearly a quarter my size but size doesn't matter to me when they're cute.

Dad wanted to weigh me so he picked me up like I was some giant black lamb and then we both got on the scale. 72 pounds. Next he put me next to the wall where he keeps the pencil marks that show my height like I'm some little kid. 30 inches even.

9 months and still going strong

The Black Arrow is now 9 months old. I thought he was slowing down in his growth but then I did all the measurements and now he's 29 in. and just under 70 lbs. He's going to be all excited to do some lure coursing practice - just some short straight runs. He LOVES the lure!

8 months and still getting bigger

The Black Arrow turned 8 months recently and is now 28 1/2 inches tall and weighs 65 lbs. He's slowing down in his growth, which is normal, and will now be on the slow road to full maturity in about a year.
