Arrival Story:
Friday (9/9/11) morning found him on a bridge with no collar and nobody around. Got him into the car and home. His owner emailed us pictures and said it sounded a lot like their dog Buster. Sure enough it was him and my mom called the lady. Well they adopted him with 8 year old twins then gave him to a friend to train and come over for playdates. The friend was taking him on a walk Thursday and he got out of his collar and ran away. They were going to give him to another friend but she offered him to us since he's been with us for a couple days. So now he's ours with his own collar, harness, name tag, and metal chain leash since he chews through leashes and toys like mad.

Last Monday my mommy took me to the nice people at the vet's office and I got to meet a great dane though wasn't allowed to play with her. But mommy filled out some papers and took my leash and harness off while this lady put a rope on me and mommy left! I gave her the puppy eyes but she still left me!

The vet techs said I was a good boy but when they came to get me to be nuetered (now I know what that is!) I ran out of the cage to the front door then they tried to grab me so I ran into the back. I got stuck in the xray room though and they got me.

Guess what though! Grandpa came to get me later that night and even later than that mommy came home! Of course I had to greet her but I was still mopey and groggy but she let me jump up on her (though now I keep getting in trouble for it again) She even slept on the couch so I could be with her since I didn't feel up to doing the stairs.

I feel so much better now and am eating and acting like normal. I can't wait to go on our daily long walks again and get those "stitches" out!

I love this place!

I may miss my old home but I love this place! My mommy and her family are awesome! I get to play and chew toys apart, get to watch cats, and mommy lets me sleep in her room every night! Though I prefer crawling under her bed and sleeping there until I have to bark because somebody's downstairs or in the hall and I can't see them!

I follow my new mom everywhere but sometimes she has to leave for HOURS! Least I have my toys and new dog siblings and cats to keep me company until she gets home to take me on our daily walk. I think the others get sad they don't come on a walk with us, but mommy can't walk us all at once!

I get lots of attention and love and Blizzard even started trying to wrestle with me today! Mom thinks it's ridiculous looking though since I'm huge compared to her.

I'm going to get "fixed" on Monday. I don't know what this means but I get to go back to see those fun people I met at the vet when being scanned for a microchip so that's a good thing!
