Arrival Story:
On a Tuesday I went to the Animal Shelter in the town where my Father lives to look for another kitten. While there my friend called me over to look at a sweet dog in the "kill building." I felt sorry for her but I didn't want a dog- I had never owned a dog before!!! When we left, she whimpered for us. By the next day, I couldn't stop thinking about her! So I called the Animal Shelter where she was and they said she was scheduled for her death the following day. But this shelter was a two hour drive from me and I had to work! There was no way I could make it until Saturday! They said they would take her out of the kill building and fix her so that I could pick her up on Saturday. I was so relieved. When my friend and I got there on Saturday to pick her up, she was in a nice new facility with a happy sign on her door that read, "I'm Adopted!"

Bio:
Since her adoption, Daisy has become a beloved member of our little family. She has two sisters, Chaka- a rat terrier and Rudy- a large ornery cat. She will soon be the big sister to a human baby. Daisy loves to run as fast as she can even though she shouldn't because of her knee problems. Daisy is great at fetch and "basketball" and wants to go to New Orleans any chance she can get. She is a well travelled little dog with lots of states under her belt. We are hoping to drive to California this summer to add some more. She has a favorite Aunt Cindy and Uncle Bill who take care of her when her parents have to go out of town. She loves them so much and it isn't because of the yummy snacks that she has when she is there! The first time she met Uncle Bill, she climbed up on his chest and gave him a big kiss.
