JD is owned by a dual military husband and wife. JD and his family lived in San Diego, CA until JD's dad had to deploy and JD's mom had to go to military training in Quantico, VA. JD had no where to go. Luckily, JD's parents found him a family that would watch him for the 6 months his parents would be away. JD's parents recognized that this is a situation many military member's find themselves in; "What do I do with my pet while I'm on deployment?" Thus, JD's parents founded Dogs on Deployment, a non-profit group which helps military members search for and find volunteer boarders who are willing to watch their pets while they're deployed.
