-purebred-pound dog-dog rescue

Arrival Story:
Son rescued Pavy from humane society, when he was one year old. Pavy had been turned in because he had bit the husband several times. Pavy came to live with me and my other dogs. I was concerned with the name his previous owner had given him,Pavlof, and with his history, because I felt he had been mistreated. He was a good dog, but I do feel he was mistreated. Because of this mistreatment I believe he developed some emotional problems. On several occasions, he bit me when I was trying to get him to take some medicine. But, overall he was good and I never took a chance with him with him being alone with other people. Unfortunately, he developed diabetes, and had to have insulin injections twice a day for the last 1 1/2 years of his life. He got along well with my other dogs, and had a good life, although I still feel sad about how he was treated before I got him....
