"Yo! It's me. Looch. Technically speaking, my name is Luciano – as in Lucky Luciano the Italian gangster. But Ma calls me everything under the sun: Looch, Looch Matooch, Lucky Looch, Loochy Coochy Coo, Cool Hand Looch. Personally, I don't care what she hollers at me as long as the kibble keeps comin'. :-) So... what can I tell you about myself? Hmm... As you can see, I'm a lovely white hue. (I prefer to think of myself as the shade of vanilla ice cream – yum!) And yes, purebred boxers like me come in white, too. We're cool that way. Ma says I've also got the cutest little brown polka dots on the back of my bunny ears, but since I can't SEE the back of my ears, I'll have to take her word for it. (I'm not so sure I like her wisecrack about the bunny ears though. Hrrmmpf. ) Anyhoodle.... I'm a puppy. As of August, I was about five months old. But would you believe some idiot dumped me at the dog pound? I know, right? What were they thinking? They stuck me in the slammer, where there were fleas and ticks and worms and five kinds of nastiness in my kennel alone. But as luck would have it, Legacy Boxer Rescue, well, they came to my rescue. They bailed me out of that place just in the nick of time (Ma says I was about to sleep with the fishes) and brought me home to my foster Ma's casa. And that's why Ma calls me Lucky Luciano. Oh boy did I hit the jackpot! Ma has another LBR boxer puppy (who LOVES to play with me), and then there's Bax (he's the big boxer in charge), and of course, Grandma Dakota (a crabby, 16-year-old chow that I've learned to avoid like bad tuna). The four of us hang out together all day and play, play, play. That's what us pups like to do, you know. And of course I've got my share of toys and bones and kibble, and I've even got soft squishy beds to lay on. Talk about lucky! As for my manners, Ma says I'm picking up stuff real fast. I almost never have an accident in the house anymore, and I sleep all through the night in my crate without a peep (or a poo for that matter). I'm also a deaf boxer, but that doesn't stop me or any of the rest of us from learning fast! I just look at your hands for signals rather than listening to your voice, and I bark and grumble and snore like the rest of the fur kids. In fact, Ma says I pay way more attention to her than my fur sibs, and I'm picking up all of her commands just as fast. (Actually, she said it's the humans who need special instructions and not me. Ma rocks!) So if you want to be my forever family, holler at Ma. (Or give me the high sign.) Ma says I'm her little Looch Matooch right now, but she'll eventually be willing to share.
