Arrival Story:
Been into dogs for law Enforcement for several years and my wife was always after my Boss and I to look into a Border Collie. We never did and one day she saw an ad in a local paper and went to look at a litter of Border Collies. She knew what I looked for in work dogs as pups and selected "Cody". And I have been totaly happy with her selection. I have had some great dogs and some excellant working dogs in Narcotics, Tracking, Arson, and Cadaver but this dog tops them all as far as ability to work, eagerness to please, stamina, and his loyality. My wife couldn't have done a better job picking him out of the litter. Only downfall is my wife constantly reminds me that it is still her dog.

Bio:
Cody is a trained dog used for Tracking, Accelerant Detection and Cadaver Recovery, and he is also very good at Article Search. That is where we will use him at crime scenes to search for any items with human scent that human investigators could have missed. We work with the County Sheriff and the County Fire Service. Yesterdays training 2-22-05

We had training yesterday at the Public Safety Building here in Lockport, NY. Seemed good to see all the other dogs there and get some work in. I think we did ok because my handler/owner had given me my toy when we were all done and that is usually his reward for me. They put out 5 arson samples and 2 of them had accelerants in them and I found the right 2 so we did ok. Can't wait not till next Tuesday to go again.
