Arrival Story:
Indigo had been abused and neglected by her previous owners. When my coworker brought her in to work she was covered in ticks, underweight, and terrified of everything and everyone. She did growl at me the first time she saw me, but I was one of the few people able to get a leash on her and pet her. After a while she would fall asleep almost as soon as she could get in my lap and followed me around without a leash. She seemed so happy around me and I felt that I could give her a life she deserved (and far better than what she had before), so I adopted her.
