She has started agility training and has taken right to it
Arrival Story:
Adopted her. Have no idea what breed mix she is, although her personality is very poodle like, and she has the athleticism of a poodle. Ran the DNA test and she came back a mix of 6 breeds! Poodle, Havanese, Cocker, Polish Lowland Sheepdog, Schipperke, and Whippet. So- I picked 2 for her profile.
Bio:
Lily was a stray. She was picked up by AC and brought to the shelter in May 2011. She had a microchip but the phone number was disconnected and no one responded to the letter that was sent. No one claimed her.She was skinny, starving, filthy and badly matted- looked like she had been on the streets a while.
Lily then failed the food aggression test at the shelter and was scheduled to be euthanized.
A woman who volunteered at the shelter was a trainer and pulled her into rescue. Her foster mom had just decided to foster dogs, and Lily was her first foster dog. With the guidance of the trainer, she started working on the food aggression. The stars were finally starting to line up for Lily and she was sent a couple of angels.
When I adopted her I continued to reinforce the training and she responded beautifully- she had a real good start in foster care. I can now take the most savory treat away from her without a problem... and her and Max eat right next to each other. Once she trusted us, it went very quickly.
She will never have to worry where her next meal is coming from again.
