The rules are that you send a message via a Rosette, Present or Pawmail to your paw pals. Then, post 7 random facts about yourself. Post these rules in your diary. Have fun!!

1. I'm a very dominant dog when it comes to other males.
2. My favorite toy is a stuffed lemur that's almost as big as me.
3. I will bark at any animal in my path.
4. I love the snow.
5. I hate wearing sweaters & harnesses - only a collar for me!
6. My favorite treat is a piece of pancake.
7. I get SO excited when I see other papillons - I recognize my own kind!

Oh no! I pulled a muscle

Ok - I was at my agility trial with LOTS of other dogs. I didn't act too nervous, but we were there at 8:30 in the morning, and I didn't run until about 4:00. I refused just about every obstacle on the walk-through, and when Mommy put me at the start line, I ran right out of the ring and back into my crate. She thought it was just nerves and tried again. When she picked me up, I squealed. She pulled me from the trial, thinking that I was overly tired and that we'd try again in the morning. I absolutely zonked out and slept all evening and all night. I was sore when getting up from a nap, but acted normally otherwise. It turned out I had a pulled muscle. Even though I had many walks outside and around the building, I was tense and sat in the same position every time I went into my crate. Can you believe it? I hurt myself BEFORE I ran. I was on baby aspirin for three days and had to skip two flyball classes over the next two weeks. What a BUMMER. I had been practicing so hard! Anyway, I'm back to normal now, to the relief of my human family. I went back to my flyball class and was so wired from not doing anything for the past three weeks, that I was completely out of control. I pretty much barked nonstop the whole time, but boy, did I have a good time!

I'm going to show in agility!

Mommy decided to enter me in the UKC agility trials the end of October, and shortly after that I made up a new trick - I run up the A-frame but won't come back down. After a summer of great practices, I just made this one up. Take that, Mommy - just when you thought you had control of me! Mommy thinks that Bandit has teeter issues, but that's just HIS trick. We're not stupid - we just like to make Mommy look like SHE is!!!

I'm a maniac!

I LOVE AGILITY!!!!!! I'm just a high-flying, fast-moving, tear-up-the-course little doggy. If only Mommy could contol all this energy of mine..... I'm willing to try anything, but I'm still young and don't always listen like I should. If Mommy isn't quick enough, I'll just go do whatever obstacle I feel like doing. I don't think I'd do well in obedience, because I want to RUN. I think I might get to try flyball this fall. I'm kind of a bully, though, and I might just take the tennis ball away from my teammates. The only problem is that I only pick up tennis balls when I really feel like it. I might not be willing to do it on command. I've been walking in the water at the beach a little bit (only up to my shoulders). Brother Bandit and I aren't really water dogs, but we like to dig in the wet sand. I hope everyone else out there is enjoying the summer, too.

I made my Mommy look like an idiot!

I know I haven't written in far too long. I've just been so busy.....

My agility class was on the local news tonight. I did so good in class. I only refused the chute once and sat on the pause table instead of lying down. But guess what? Those were the two clips of me that they aired. How dare they? Maybe it didn't make me look bad........maybe it just made Mommy look stupid! I knew I was doing that for a good reason...

It's me again - finally!

Hi everybody. I've had a busy summer. I've decided I'm the dominant one in the household, and I've been bullying my brother Bandit ever since. If I had only known it would be this much fun, I would have started much sooner. Bandit took an agility class and loved it. Now when Mommy brings him to practice, she brings me too. I learned a lot from watching Bandit. Now I can do most of the obstacles even faster than him! I'm starting an obedience class in September. Mommy says it's because I try to be the bully with every dog I see. I need to learn that I don't have to bark at every dog that walks past us. I'm just protecting the Mama! I also protect our car. If we're at a stop sign and people are crossing the street in front of us, I growl at them through the window. That's another thing that Mommy doesn't like. She says it makes me sound mean, and I'm definitely not a mean dog. I'm not mean - just a little protective. What those people I'm growling at don't know is that if I got out of the car to see them, I would try to kiss them to death. Well, gotta go for my walk now. I'll try to keep my diary more up-to-date from now on.

I'm a big boy now!

I turned a year old on Monday! I still have the puppy crazies, though. Just because I'm getting older, that doesn't mean I have to act my age. I spent the day opening my presents and walking with Mommy and brother Bandit. Bandit had leg surgery the next day and won't be able to play too rough with me for a while. He feels ok - he just has to be careful until his stitches come out. We've been watching TV together instead of playing tug-of-war, and it's getting a little old already. I figured this was a good time to steal his favorite toy, but I guess he feels good enough to keep me from having it. Time to go - it's been a long couple of days, and I'm feeling sleepy.
