I went with my sister Gretchen and my brother Loki today to play in the pond. I saw a movement in the grass, when I went over to investigate, I noticed it was a copperhead snake. I hate snakes, I kill everyone I see.
As I went after the snake, the snake struck me twice. Once on my cheek and once on the skin below my chin. I yelped. My sister and brother came over to see what was going on. They noticed the snake and killed it.
Mom got us kids and told us that it was time to go home.
I immediately started to swell. My cheek puffed right out and under my chin, it looks like there is a baseball lodged there.
When we got home, my mom called the vet. Told them what happened. The vet told my mom that she needed to give me a benadryl and a aspirin. I should have access to plenty of water and to keep an eye on me. If I develop any trouble breathing, she needed to bring me in right away.
So, here I am sitting here completely miserable. The swelling is starting to subside. Mom is giving me treats to cheer me up.
I hope I feel better soon.
