Arrival Story:
We were having a small BBQ and looked down and there he was there. When I looked down, there was a 8 week old puppy standing there looking at me. He was ALL SKIN and BONES. Severely starved. We picked him up and put him in the back of the truck, gave him some food and water. I didn't think he would make it through the night. He surprised us and steadily gained weight. I checked around and found out that my neighbor owned him. He couldn't afford to buy food due to his drug habit. We told him that Henry had found a forever home. Henry has been with us ever since.....

Henry is a very loving and laid back dog. He hates any and all BIG Cats. He keeps cougars and bob cats away from our horse pastures. We almost lost him once from a cougar. Henry has become our personal protector. He will get between us and what ever is threatening us.

Henry's Life

Snake Bit....

I went with my sister Gretchen and my brother Loki today to play in the pond. I saw a movement in the grass, when I went over to investigate, I noticed it was a copperhead snake. I hate snakes, I kill everyone I see.

As I went after the snake, the snake struck me twice. Once on my cheek and once on the skin below my chin. I yelped. My sister and brother came over to see what was going on. They noticed the snake and killed it.

Mom got us kids and told us that it was time to go home.

I immediately started to swell. My cheek puffed right out and under my chin, it looks like there is a baseball lodged there.

When we got home, my mom called the vet. Told them what happened. The vet told my mom that she needed to give me a benadryl and a aspirin. I should have access to plenty of water and to keep an eye on me. If I develop any trouble breathing, she needed to bring me in right away.

So, here I am sitting here completely miserable. The swelling is starting to subside. Mom is giving me treats to cheer me up.
I hope I feel better soon.
