Arrival Story:
Shorty's Mom lost her job. After months of no work and unemployment running out she has put her house up for sale and is moving out of state. She will move in with her mother who is elderly and needs her help. Her mom has Astmaso Shorth could not go. She surrendered him to rescue. I feel so sorry for his mom. She is in a position that is not of her making.

Bio:
Shorty is an AKC registered Mini Dachshund. He is 5 yrs old and seems healthy. He is a sweet biy. House trained and likes dogs and people.

Good Bye Shorty

Sweet little Shorty went to his new home today. He is such a good boy and so deserves a good home. I pray this works out. He loves his new family already.

Tomorrow I go to meet my new people. I am very excited and it's going to be fun. My foster mom says they are very nice people who will love me all my life. She said they are so excited about me moving in. I'll be the only dog there. I like friends to play with but mom said they told her they are thinking of adopting another Doxie TOO. Then I'd have a friend. For a while I will be the star. Bye friends and mom and dad. I love you and I know you love me. I'll be safe and happy but I won't forget you.

Wow! I can't believe I am a pick. My foster mom has not had a lot of time to keep up my diary. Not long after I came here to rescue she took in 3 other dogs. 2 from th pound and one stray was the person asked rescue to take. Then as luck would have it, one of the pound dogs had a baby! Honey is a Chihuahua and her pup is very tiny. Mom spend a lot of time seeing to her. She still spends time with me and the others but something has to be cut so it's been our diaries. I'm very lucky I was picked and I thank Dogster for making me feel special.
