if you ask Brownie "where's my toy?" he will run and get a toy. if you say "that's mine" he'll run away like a freak, growling. but if you say "drop it" he drops it. say "leave it" and he leaves it. it's great.

Arrival Story:
we moved into our own house on June 1st 2001, it was a Saturday. I had already been visiting the Town of Hempstead animal shelter for a month, looking for a dog. I saw Brownie a few days before we moved in, he had already been there for 3 weeks. I told him that if he was still there on Monday, I would take him home and he was. He was very happy to be in the car with us and was housebroken as soon as we brought him home.

Bio:
Brownie has developed really bad allergies, we had him tested and he is allergic to house dust mites. He's lost alot of hair but doesn't mind getting his shots because he knows he gets a cookie after.
