Her first name means wolf in Japanese and Amaterasu is the name of the Japanese sun goddess who's original name is Amaterasu Omekami...so her name is a twist on the original. This goddess is also sometimes depicted as a wolf. She loves to run around like a banshee although our Great Dane, Liberty is getting old and can't keep up with her. She does this really odd thing when she snaps her teeth when she wants attention or when she's irritated at something. She's also facinated by eyelashes =D. She has a bit of an issue with our cats when she gets a bit food possessive, but we are working on that! Hopefully she will be able to live with kitties in peace in the future =).
