Arrival Story: A friend of mine was walking her dog in May of 2011 when she stumbled upon three puppies abandoned on a rainy Saturday morning. These pups were on a busy street so she took them in and called me at 8am asking me to come over for a surprise. I looked into the bathroom and saw two black and tan puppies that definitely seemed to be part chihuahua but part something else.
She said there were three but that the third ran into a day care's yard that was locked up for the weekend. We went after that third puppy and found him on the porch crying because he had gone up two steps but couldn't get down.
The second I laid eyes on this little white boy something snapped inside of me. I thought I'd never get another dog, much less a puppy while I had Noodle Bug, but something about the combination of his big brown eyes, his gentle nature and his abandonment called me to action.
He was mine a day later.
Sadly, he never got to know Noodle very well as her liver disease had advanced to a terminal stage this July (2011) and she was put to rest this past week.
Bio: After looking online a bit, I discovered the traits of a Papillon staring back at me with those satellite dish ears. We're pretty sure that's what he is.
