Likes: Staying velcro-d to me, loves riding in the car, favorite game is playing tug.She also really enjoys being a fashion hound -- There's lots of pics of her at http://community.webshots.com/user /evelynblack
Pet-Peeves: Vacuum cleaner or motorcycle noise. Certain TV sounds. Violin music. She's also still a tiny bit skittish from being mistreated in her former life, so takes a while to warm up to new people or dogs.
Favorite Toy: She loves stuffed animals, especially with squeakers or rattles, and plays very nicely with them without de-stuffing them!
Favorite Food: Whatever I'm eating, especially sweets! Cheese, P-nut butter, Greenies
Favorite Walk: She enjoys off-leash dog parks, and romping in empty lots, and the weekend hikes with the Dog Scout group
Best Tricks: "Wave", "Take a bow", "Shake Hands", "Gimme 5", Dance around in a circle/hop on hind feet
Arrival Story: I rescued/adopted Sascha thru a breed rescue organization, after finding her picture on www.petfinder.com. (I had recently met someone who had Eskies, and got really interested in them.) We drove from Cincinnati to Atlanta to get her at the foster facility. She had previously been micro-chipped and ear-tattooed; we found that she'd been owned by someone in Florida prior to that. > > > > At the tender young age of 1.5, she'd already been thru 3 homes, the ASPCA and the breed rescue foster home - because of lack of socializing and lack of training. What is wrong with people!@#!
> > > > She has the sweetest personality, and with lots of remedial behavioral training, she has gotten over most of her fears, gained a lot of self-confidence and is a wonderful addition to our family!
Bio: After all the training and obedience classes, socializing at the dog park and lots of dog events, joining Dog Scouts, and getting involved with agility, Sascha is proof that problem behaviors can be fixed and/or managed! She's become very social & very comfortable with most everything. She's even recently earned her CGC (Canine Good Citizen) Title and her DSA (Dog Scouts of America) Title! > > > > She currently resides in Cincinnati with 5 cat-siblings (Chelsea, Punkin-Head Jones, Black Magic, SweetPea McGee & Anastasia) occasionally lots of foster kittens, & my husband and me. > > > > Check out lots more pics of her - playing with kitties & other doggie friends, holiday pics, posing in hats & various other cute little outfits, etc. at http://community.webshots.com/user/evelynblack

I've Been On Dogster Since:
Foxy Brown has gone on to her forever home. She lived with us for over a year, getting healthy, learning to be well mannered and to be a good family member. We'll miss her and we wish her a wonderful new life.
Sascha put up with her, but never really enjoyed her company. And now that she's gone, Sascha doesn't even miss her one little bit!
She's still here .. .. .. when is she ever going to leave?
That darn foster doggie is still here. Still being trained, and learning how to be a proper house-pet. Still getting her health improved. Still taking waaay too much of my mom's time and attention.
This foster dog is so traumatized that she won't even let my mom bathe her or trim her nails - what's wrong with her? Doesn't she know that those things won't hurt?
