Arrival Story:
I was looking for a Bull Mastiff on the net and came across Dozier's picture at 4 weeks old. I fell in love with him immediately and brought him home after obtaining all the info I could on his breed. He was bought as a pet but I started showing him after several judges at a dog show told me that he would win. As it was he started winning at 17 months old and became an AKC champion one week after he turned 2. This year he showed at Westminster and attracted a lot of attention. Dozier loves roaming our 50 acre farm and going on rides to visit his friends at all the pet stores in town. He is well known around here and most of the shows we go to. He enjoys playing with his 2 Newfy brothers, and my grand kids. He snores, drools, and slobberes every where but I love him anyway. We will be going to more shows to obtain his Grand Champion status and will probably go back to Westminster next year to hopefully win Best of Breed.

My trip to Westminster 2012

Well I am glad to be home. I missed my brothers and especially my trees. Did you know that there are no trees in NY city? I only saw the big cement ones and they are no fun to pee on. The big city is no place for a dog like me. I can't run around or swim in the lake or bark or even mark my territory. Every time I tried to mark my territory mom said no. I guess in NY city you can't just pee on everything that you see like chairs, tables, sidewalks,or even fire hydrants. That is awful. It was fun to be a star again though. Like last year everywhere I went people petted me. Mom gave me special treats and I even got a big piece of steak in the show ring. That was delicious! As usual I had to stand still in the ring but it was soo much fun to have people watching me as I strolled around the ring. My handler tried to get me to run faster but I just ignored him and pranced around slowly showing off like I usually do. It is great to be a celebrity and have so many followers. Mom said I am on the net in several places and I am also in some videos. People said they saw me on TV. You know you are special when you are a star on TV. The show was fun but it made me very tired and it was hot. Good thing mom didn't forget my spray water bottle. It felt good to be spritzed with water every now and then. Mom made me go to the bathroom in wood chips and in front of everyone! How embarrassing that was. I was trying to hold it until I found some woods but she insisted I go in the wood chips because she said she would be embarrassed if I accidentally went in the ring in front of everyone and on TV. I guess she was right. I really don't want to be known as the dog that pooped in the ring at Westminster. Oh I forgot one more thing. Mom had my portrait drawn. I am so handsome, she even thinks so. She said that she will hang it in the house so we could see it everyday and everyone else could see it when they came over. She said not to let it all go to my head though, you know being a star and everything. I am not too sure what that meant because I already have a very BIG head(31"). Well time for bed.

Good night,

Dozier

Well today I got a bath. It was the first bath in a long time. I don't usually like to get wet and I especially don't like the soap- It makes me smell funny, but today I got a lot of extra attention. Mom said I had to get ready for the BIG show. She rubbed me all over after the bath and trimmed my nails. I like that. She said that tomorrow I have to brush my teeth again. It seems like it was just yesterday that I did that. I don't mind that because the tooth paste taste sooo good. I love the liver flavor and usually lick a lot of it during the brushing. What I didn't like most of all was her washing my nose. She takes all the crust off. You know how long it takes me to get my nose that dirty. Yea, a long time. At least a week or so of digging and grunting in the dirt, and it was nice and thick. Oh well, I liked the rest of the bath.We got out my neck tie, and coat and nice collar and leash, my shoes,my travel bowls, and most importantly my special treats, yummy! She said we leave in 5 days. I can't wait. Last year we went and I had so much fun. I got so many pets, I LOVE that, and I got to get my picture taken a lot. It makes me feel so important. The only thing I don't like is there is NO place for me to go to the bathroom. Where are the trees ? I have to go on WOOD CHIPS and have NO privacy! Oh how I miss my big farm at those times. I am very glad I am a country dog and only go to the big city for a few days. Anyway I'm all ready for my trip. I can't wait to be in the spot light again!

I've got three great big Goochie Goos
And they have four big wootsie woos
Of course they smell like ootsie oou
In the wonderful world of Gooch

The black one has a scruffy head
The brown one's Bad Bad Bosco Brown
The red one is a wrinkle hound
In the wonderful world of Gooch

The black and white has curly hair
The brown and white has fuzzy fur
And the big red one is all wrinkly
In the wonderful world of Gooch

The black one likes to slink around
The brown one is a weasel hound
And the red he will pounce you down
In the wonderful world of Gooch

The red one's lips they touch the ground
The black one shakes goo all around
The brown one's lips are hardly found
In the wonderful world of Gooch

The brown one has a great big nose
The black one nose is wet of course
The red ones nose is under crust
In the wonderful world of Gooch

The black one's bark says whoof real loud
The brown one's bark puts out a growl
And the red one sounds just like a hound
In the wonderful world of Gooch

Of course I love all three of them
Even when they knock me down
We're always laying on the ground
In the wonderful world of Gooch

I know I'm safe when their around
No one dares step on to my ground
When they see my Gooches all around
In the wonderful world of Gooch

ooof!
