Arrival Story:
Peety showed up in my yard one morning barking like crazy at Kobe, my Husky. He was so adorable! Kobe just stared at him, like he couldn't figure out what this little dog was barking at him for. I went up and down the street asking if he belonged to anyone. They all said they'd seen him, but didn't know who he belonged to. Well, since he was so little (and cute), and since it was so cold outside (it was November), I decided to take him in. He and Kobe were HILARIOUS together. Everything Kobe did, he tried to do, even though he was a half-pint compared to Kobe. It took time for Kobe to figure out that Peety wasn't a squeeky toy - everytime he "tagged" Peety with his huge paw, Peety would squeal because Kobe didn't know his own strength. They were best buds. People always stopped and stared when I walked them together.

Bio:
Peety was a great watchdog, a great companion, and a real character. He had Ladyfriends all over the neighborhood that he would sneak off to visit. He was so charming they would let him stay for days before calling me to let me know where he was, and when I'd go to pick him up he'd ignore me because I was interfering with his courtship! He was a real Cassanova. I miss him dearly. Two years before he died he went blind, which broke my heart, because he couldn't run and play with Kobe anymore. He went to live with my friend because he had a ranch house (he couldn't do stairs anymore). My friend got him a Harley-Davidson hat and Peety would ride shotgun in his truck with the hat on so everyone could see him. He is a disabled Veteran and Peety made him a wonderful companion. He will always have a very special place in our hearts. Good night, sweet Prince. Rest in peace.
