Licking my face, my hands, my arm...I should probably be scared he's going to lick me to death.

Milkbones but he gets very few of them since he sometimes is overweight.
Favorite Walk:
Anywhere he can sniff people and get pets but he likes his living room a lot too. Such a short walk to the comfy couch.
Best Tricks:
Being adorable and suckering pets from me, even when I am late for work.
Arrival Story:
Like a true "water" dog, Samwise was found near a reservoir by a co-worker at the clinic I used to work with. Even though I fell in love with him, I let him go live with another family. After a year, they decided he was too big for them to keep; so, Sam came to live with me, my other dog Lancelot, my cats, and my understanding husband. He's been a wonderful part of our family ever since.
As you know, I've not been barking in a while. My mom wasn't able to help me get on the computer due to a super busy schedule. And now, I'm here to report (via my mommy's heart) that my family had to let me go to the Rainbow Bridge on July 21st. I had lots of pain in my hips - being such a big boy and all - and was bleeding internally due to cancer. My mom's not been able to get on Dogster to tell you guys because it hurts her heart so much. Even now, she's crying. To add salt to misery, my brother Lancelot (you remember me talking about him, I'm sure, even though he wasn't techno savvy enough to get on a computer) went to the Rainbow Bridge only two short weeks before me. My mommy and daddy and human pup are so sad. They still haven't gotten another dog to replace me or Lancelot - not that one could. Ha! I was THE Best dog my mom ever had!! No lieing; she said so. Anyway. Mom's not on here anymore but we all wish you well. Licks and Barks, Samwise

Woof!! Woof!!
You may have noticed I've been on a lot less lately. I thought I'd drop in and give you all a quick diary update.
As of today (1/30/12), I will be departing from the Dogster community. I have enjoyed my time here on Dogster and will miss the great conversations we've had.
I was overwhelmed to be chosen Dog of The Day in December and have enjoyed each and every moment I've barked here. I've been amazed by the friendships I've made here. Some of the absolute nicest dogs and their hoomans are on here. Luv you guys!!

It's the most horrible time of the Year,
It's the scar-scariest season of all,
With those fireworks screaming and bright lights a-gleaming,
When hoomans come to call,
It's the scar-scariest season of all.
Ughs! I hatz those fireworks! Why do the hoomans make them go off at the beginning of each year? Seems like a perfectly frightening way to start off the New Year. Eek!
And then, they do it again in the middle of the year too!
Do fireworks scare you too? Me and Lancelot hide in the basement hall. I know; you'd think with a name like Lancelot, he'd be brave. Of course, I was named for a brave hobbit myself, but I cower all the same.
Mom's got busy, busy days for the next week or so. If she doesn't help me get on the computer, y'all have a wonderful holiday season. Keep your chin up; don't let those nasty loud bangs get the best of you!
