Arrival Story:
Ava is my rescue mutt, adopted June 19th, 2009 when she was about 10 weeks old. She loves to run around and chase critters, and is very, very active outside, but indoors she's a lazy butt. She has no interest in toys, and will only work for food. She likes affection only when it's on her terms, otherwise she can be kind of a grouch, but I love her anyways! She's my first dog.
Bio:
Nix, born in May, 2011, arrived in VA via road transport from his breeder in TX on a hot, hot 4th of July the same year. He's pretty much everything you would expect of a good Border Collie from working lines. Although we don't have sheep, he enjoys long off-leash hikes, pestering Ava, and chasing his soccer ball. In his down time he absolutely loves nothing more than to snuggle with me. He takes after his biological uncle in almost every way. They even have similar coloring.
