Sit, down, stay, speak, up on hind legs, give paw. When he doesn't want to do something, he will bark at me and stomp his front foot, then do it.
Arrival Story:
I had already decided on the breed and had contacted breeders, but I made the mistake of walking into a pet store. In one cage there were two tiny puppies. One was a white toy poodle, but the other we couldn't see because he was being held on his back as they fought. We watched for a few minutes while they played, and when he finally got up, I saw the tiniest, sweetest little miniature schnauzer. He was only 3 pounds then, but he came up to the glass and pounced at us like he was 50 times that size. We tried to walk away, but he just looked so sad, and I couldn't leave him there.
Bio:
My mom says Orion is the only dog she's ever seen that actually smiles. He's the most easygoing, lovable dog I've ever known. He's quiet (usually), playful, and obedient (well, we're working on it). He's beginning to get stubborn at times, 'talking' back to show me that he doesn't want to do what I say, but he does it anyway. He loves all people and dogs, and is difficult to handle on a leash because he feels the need to meet everyone. Orion's personality (dog-ality?) is really developing now, and he is exactly the dog that I always hoped for.
