Arrival Story:
The story of how Jed came to me is bittersweet. Before I found Jed I had another dog, named Earl. He was a purebred Pug, and by far one of the cutest things you would ever see! Unfortunately Earl was not with me very long, he suffered from PDE aka Pug Dog Encephalitis and had to be put down 3 months after his 1st birthday :( Loosing my first dog was the hardest thing EVER, but as people say "As one door closes, another door opens" That where my Jeddy comes in!
I was the website Petfinder, looking for my new furry friend, when I came across an ad for a 2month old Black Lab/Blue Tick Coon Hound mix. His name was Scooby at the time, and he was at the New Kent Animal Shelter in New Kent, VA. It was him and his sister on the ad. I was interested in his sister at first actually. After loosing Earl I wanted a change, and thought maybe adopting a female might be the better choice. Unfortunately his sister who was named Star was adopted to another family before I had called, but her brother was available. I decided that i would go check out her brother to see if he would be a good fit for me.
Me and my family drove up to the New Kent Animal Shelter to see "Scooby". When we walked in the lady greeted us and told me that she was going to go get the dog for me to see. As soon as that door opened, he flew out! He was so full of life, and excitement! He had SO much personality, I loved him from the moment I saw him. That was it, from that day on he was no longer Scooby, the dog without a home, to Jeddy my best friend!
