Back at home.

Life has changed for me again. My foster mom got a call saying someone was looking for a dog that looks like me. I thought "Well here we go again." But this time it was different. They took me for a ride after my foster Mom was on the phone a long time. When we got out I knew the place. It's my Mom and Dad's work place. Then we went in and my Mom came out to get me and my boy came out and they were all excited to see me and I was excited to see them. I'm home again. I know my foster parents pretty good and my Foster mom was very upset. She found out my mom lets me get away and go around the neighborhood alone. She said she didn't realize I was gone till it was too late. Then she couldn't find me. She said she had a lot on her mind so she just lost track because they are adopting a baby so she was thinking about that. Mom was very upset. I read her thoughts. She thought I deserve more. She wondered if when the baby gets to my house if I will become even less important to my family. See my parents are vets! When my foster mom said she had me scanned for a microchip, my Mom said she has had me for 2 yrs but had just not gotten round to putting a chip in me. OHhhhhh my foster Mom was furious. Well they talked a little longer and then my foster parents kissed me bye-bye and my foster Mom ALMOST cried right there. I know she cried when she got outside in the car. I just know she did. She was real upset and felt like she wished she had not found my people. I'm happy with my family and my Mom said she is getting a new gate so I can be closed in the yard safely. I never guessed all this would happen to me when I left the yard this time. It sure was a real exciteing adventure but I'm home again now. My foster mom is not happy but I am.

Vet's Offices?

I heard Mom telling Dad that she went to two vet offices and talked to anothet one about me. She showed them my picture and she said none of them knew me. I think she is feeling like I will not be going back to my home.

A very sad day.

It was a very sad day here today. Mom stayed close to Buddy all morning and she was very worried about him. He was not feeling good at all and Mom said she could not let him go on like he was. She and Dad left with Buddy about 12:30 and they came back about 2PM. They came back without Buddy and Mom told us Buddy had gone to the Rainbow Bridge and he is not sad or sick anymore. That sounded like a good thing to me but Mom and Dad cried. Maybe they were so sad just because they loved him and will miss him. Yes, I think that's it. Buddy was nice and I will miss him.

I'm not telling...

I'm not telling where I came from or how I came to be running down the highway when mom & dad found me. I am not telling. I am doing great here. I love my new dad very much. I love mom too, when dad's not home. hehehe She makes good dinners and she gives good baths.

Lots going on here. Buddy, the big dog is sick. He has a mass or something in his belly. Mom is real sad. Scooter has a cough and mom took him to the vet 2 days in a row. She says he has bad allergies. I hope it's not catching. I know Scooter is miserable.

It sure is hot today. I stay inside ofcourse. I have a doggie door here so I can do what I want. I want to stay inside where the air conditioner runs and makes it cool inside. It's nice. Time for a nap.

Nothing yet!

Most of yesterday my Foster Mom spent calling groomers and boarding kennels. She sent my picture all over the place. Nobody knows me. She says she is not giving up on finding my people but it is not looking good for now. I am doing well here. I have friends to play with and I get lots of love. I do miss my family but I'm OK.

It's a big job.

Things are going real good. I am settled in here and know the way things go. It's a pretty easy routine so I am going with the flow. I like the other dogs here and the people are very nice. The mom is nice and feeds me good. The daddy is just my mostest favorite person. I am working hard to train him. I have to tell him what to do and when to do it but he is learning pretty fast. I figure just when I get all happy and comfortable here my family will come for me. Oh well, I will enjoy it while I'm here. I have taught my new dad to let me go with him where ever he goes, to pick me up and put me on the people bed at night and to hold me when he's watching TV or on the computer. I almost have him 100% trained. woof woof!

They call me Cody.

My name is not Cody but I come when called. I know they are talking to me because the other dogs tell me Cody is my new name.
I was out on an adventure. I was on a mission. I was FREE and I was scared. Being free is not all it seems like it would be. I got burs in my coat. They were picky. It was so hot and I had no water to drink. I was running but I didn't know where I was going. The road was very hot under me paws and the cars came along going very fast. The noice and the size of them was frightening. I just felt like I had to keep running and dodging the cars. A car stopped and a lady called to me but I was so scared and I just felt like I had to keep going. Then I saw a tree with a nice shady spot and I needed to rest. My heart was pounding and it was sooooo hot. I ran into the yard and laid down. The lady in the car followed me and went to the house by the tree. A man came to the door and told her he didn't know where I came from and I didn't belong to anyone around there. She asked if she could take me and he said yes. That's how I got here. The lady is looking for my family but I don't know where they are WHY can't she find them? WHY doesn't she take me to my family?
