Mom said my coat is growing back in. She likes it longer but dad likes it short. In cool weather I need it longer.
I heard dad tell mom that I have been here for a yr and 7 mos. That's a long time. She said she is so shocked that nobody has asked to adopt me. Not one person. They both laughed cause I think they want to keep me anyway. :) I don't worry about that stuff. I just live each day as it comes. I'm a Dogster Dog and so I am special and life will be good to me. :)
Leave A Comment | 2 people already have I like my furs longer in the colder weather too. Glad you are happy in your temporaey home. Sounds like you may be in your furever home. Fitz and I just don't understand your not getting adopted yet. Our mom has to admit that she really wouldn't be interested in adopting any breed or mix that wasn't terrier, so she is proudly biased. And she is not surprised if you are daddy's girl! Maybe because of staying inactive and gaining weight, you aren't at your perky terrier best. To some, maybe your frosty face gives the impression of age, where us terrier folks know that such beautiful markings are natural for a Cairn at any age. Cairns change colors all through life. Fitz started getting two areas of frost on his body at the age of 3 and I started getting frost around my eyes at 5. She calls me starlight eyes:) So you see this has nothing to do with age.
Keep a stiff upper lip and go forward, Cairn Princess!
