Arrival Story:
I blessed my human mom with my amazing doggy-ness 9 1/2 years ago when she got her first apartment and went on a quest for a Bouvier. Only 2 listings in the newspaper, she took a chance on a 10 week-old litter near San Bernardino. Only 3 pups left (two females and one male), she went out the next day to find only 2 females left. As she sat on the porch staring at my beautiful mom, I went over to her and nestled next to her leg while my sister romped and did her own thing. I went home with her that night! We've been inseparable ever since, traveling the U.S. together when possible and we'll begin our biggest journey yet as our children's show gets under way - "Emilie's Musical Journeys". I'm a HUGE music lover ever since I got in my mom's car and listened to tunes all the way home.
Bio:
In January 2006, Emilie started to use her Bouvier expertise to herd sheep. Her mom became a "Sheep Mom" and would wake up early on the weekends to drive 60 miles for Emilie to hone her herding skills. Sometimes it was hard to tell who was the dog and who was the sheep! However, as we get closer and closer to production on the show, Emilie needs to preserve her energy for filming until her potential new "sister" joins our family to eventually inherit the title role.
Emilie's great-grandfather was "Iron Eyes" - a wonderful champion dog and winningest Bouvier of his times. Due to a slight underbite, Em would not make it in the dog show ring, but that hasn't stopped her from stealing hearts all over the U.S. and winning over many a person who knows nothing about the wonderful Bouvier des Flandres.
