 Quick Bio:

 Birthday: November 13th 2002
Likes: Kicking back with a good belly rub, fetching (endlessly) and a good tussle.

Pet-Peeves: Blowing in his face

Favorite Toy: Small rubber ball that he plays fetch with.

Favorite Food: Anything that I am eating

Best Tricks: walks on his hind legs for minutes on end, hops on his hind legs, earthdog

Arrival Story: I had just lost my best friend of ten years (Samson) and after two weeks of mourning, I was researching a new dog. I went to the Houston SPCA to just look at dogs. When I saw Lou (he was called Duke then) he just spoke to me with his eyes so much that I had to take him out and play. We hung out in the 'get acquanted' room and we connected instantly. He came home with me that day and has been a constant companion since.

Bio: I work at home an Lou sits on my desk while I work on the computer. Occasionally, he gets in the way but I just view it as a reminder to take a break from work.

That's right - I got Lou his very own pet cat. His cat, Nardo, is a handful but Lou and him run back and forth all day long chasing each other (yes, the cat chases the dog too.) Eventually, they both crash out in my recliner curled up together - usually about the time I want to sit down.... its no matter though, becuase they jump up, let me sit, and then both curl up in my lap. We all like it much better than way anyway.

The second picture is from our local Dog Park Social. It was a great gathering a couple Saturdays ago in which all the neighbors were encouraged to bring their dogs to the neighborhood park to meet and greet. Lou had just moved in a week earlier and was anxious to meet all the new faces (and well, smells.)
In the picture, he is greeting an English Mastiff named Vladimir in a bit of a role reversal. Lou thinks he is the biggest dog in town and was sure to let everyone else know it while Vlad appeared to be a bit timid of this overly-investigatory pup.
It was a lot of fun as we met a lot of neighbors that we never would have talked to without the dog connection. It is a great way to bring a neighborhood together for some fun and butt-sniffing.

Welcome to Life with Lou!
He has asked me to help him with the updates as he has a little trouble with the keyboard. Look for news on the major and minor events in his life.
