 Gotcha Date: June 16th 2005
 Birthday: March 17th 1998
Likes: Reggie loved eating and sleeping. He would wake up long enough to eat and then come back to his spot on the sofa between me and the arm of the couch.

Pet-Peeves: Reggie really didn't like to have his feet touched. He did finally get to where he would tolerate me when I would use the Pedi Paws on them, but that was only within the last few months before he passed.

Favorite Toy: Reggie loved his "baby", which was a Chihuahua Beanie Baby that one of our friends gave him for his 10th birthday. He would gum at it and lick it for as long as we could stand and then we would have to take it away because of the sucking sound.

Favorite Food: The question really should be "What WASN'T Reggie's favorite food?" He ate everything. I think he even ate lettuce one or two times, without any dressing!

Favorite Walk: Reggie didn't do too much walking because of arthritis and his heart failure, but he loved walking from the car to my classroom every Friday and he loved walking to his "favorite" tree to go potty at school.

Best Tricks: Reggie could do a circle for a treat, which was so cute, and smile the whole time that he was doing it. (Probably because he knew food was coming!)

Arrival Story: Reggie was a birthday present for my husband 6 years ago. We looked through the photos of a local pug rescue, DFW Pugs, saw Reggie's photo with his cute "sad" face and just had to have him! He was listed as one of their seniors since he was 7 at the time and we only had Sam, our lab mix, so we filled out the application and were approved immediately. He came to us not knowing his name or the word "no", but we had 6 great years with him and just loved him to death!

Bio: Reggie suddenly showed signs of some sort of neurological ailment about 2 weeks before he passed away. He was disoriented, walked around constantly, was unsteady on his feet, had trouble eating, and then the night that he passed away, had a grand mal seizure. The seizure isn't what took him, but it was a sign of what was to come later in the night or early morning while we were sleeping. My belief is that he had a brain tumor or hemorrhaging of some kind. We made him as comfortable as we could those last two weeks and he knew that we loved him for the 6 years that we had him. He will be missed terribly by everyone in the family - human, feline, and canine. He was a sweet and funny pup that brought smiles and laughs to all who knew him and is doing that now in Heaven, waiting for us to meet him there.
