Arrival Story:
I am the littlest boy so Mom was always sure she would keep me. Now I am almost the same size as Angel and we weigh more than Daddy Aaron. I have long legs so maybe I will be as tall as Dad someday.

I am still the little floppy eared baby of the family. But I'm not shy and I'm very persistent like my dad. I usually keep on until I check something out or get what I want.

My Diary

I got sick from the squirrel!

We can't keep it a secret anymore about who caught the last squirrel. The next day Mom found me laying froggie legged in the yard panting when it was cool outside. When she sat me down inside my legs were wobbly. So she knew to give me 50 mg doxycycline and put me in my bed with food and water for a few hours. When I jumped out I was like new! And I've been fine since--only a few more days of antibiotics to take. Mom says there must be something different about Daddy Aaron's and my blood brain barrier that lets leptospirosis get through so easy.

I'm the littlest but that doesn't stop me!

Sometimes everyone chases me and even Daddy Aaron tries to "get" me (he's so jealous) but I know how to stop it when I'm tired of it. It's a good thing that Daddy Aaron and I are aggressive/assertive enough since we are little. After a while everyone goes on their way and I go investigate whatever I want. But I don't eat stuff like Mommy Angie, Anthony, and Aleah do--Mommy ate a baby bird the other day and she and Anthony are are always playing with toads. I got to model for Mom again today--see my picture wearing Daddy Aaron's new shirt. But I'm a good boy and always potty on the papers inside and don't need a belly band or shirt.

Mom said I almost died today

I have been ornery running away lately and I'm not the only one--Mommy Angie and Aleah have run away too. We don't go far and so far we've been lucky that the big dogs nextdoor haven't got us.

Since it's so dry here there is more space between the ground and the bottom of the fence so we go around everywhere (everywhere Mom hasn't already fixed) and see if we can escape. But today was the worst day yet.

Aleah had already escaped and my collar got caught on the bottom of the fence. By the time Mom heard them barking and came outside and got Aleah in, I had flipped myself over a couple of times trying to get loose but instead my collar just got tighter. Mom said the collar had my neck almost the size of a quarter but she found the squeeze snap and got it off and carried me in. I never did pass out but it was scary and I got cut several places too trying to fight with the fence.

Mom says she doubts that we learned a lesson--we min pins are stubborn about trying to escape every time we get half a chance. Daddy Aaron, Anthony, and Angel don't ever escape so Daddy Aaron kept barking at me, disciplining me, all afternoon after we went in. Mom keeps saying she doesn't want to lose her little babies. Mommy Angie even got in trouble later for--can you believe it--sticking her nose out looking for places to escape!
