Arrival Story:
My ma and pa were mourning the loss of their first doggy, a Bagle Hound named Turbo. They were sad and most definitely convinced that they would not have a dog again. Ever. On a sleepless night, ma was surfing the web. She Googled, "Dachshund Rescue Bay Area CA". She was curious as to what would come up. "Just looking" as she would say. Doggie Protective Services, a fostering, rescue network out of Palo Alto showed up at top with a few dachshund results. She perused the pages. Reading bios, admiring photos, smiling at videos. At that moment, is when she saw me - a shaggy cream and fawn puppy named Huey. She fell in love. She woke up pa in excitement! Who cared that it was 3am or so?! She exclaimed, "I want him!" Pa in a daze looked at the computer and "hmph'd". After talks with one another, their friends, their family... they knew they wanted a doggy again. They filled out an application for me and awaited approval. They had a phone interview with my foster mommy, Donna. They came to Pet Food Express' adoption event to meet me. They cuddled me, they walked me - they inevitably fell in love. They paid the adoption fees and ta-da! I was theirs! I was re-named Raleigh St. Clair instantly. I'm named after Bill Murray's character in the movie, The Royal Tenenbaums. My parents are avid fans of Bill Murray and own all Wes Anderson movies. Hence Raleigh St. Clair.

My ma loves being with doggies so much that she decided to start a doggy walking biz with her good friend, now business partner, Jessica. My bff, Lucas Manucas' mommy. They have a grand ol' time - walking, sunning, hiking and playing with doggies! You should contact them, if you need pet care services in the Peninsula or Coastal neighborhoods of the Bay Area. Their company is called Play and Paws!
