Her squeaky ball
She's still learning but her recall is amazing for a puppy
Princess's story is a bit complicated. A friend of the family got Princess when she was about one or two months old. We've been helping them take care of Princess since then and have grown attached. At first, we were just helping them care for the dog and we tried not to grow attached because we knew that another dog might not be a smart idea. However, the friend wasn't supposed to have any dogs where they lived and eventually, their landlord found out about Princess and told them they had to get rid of her. We got in touch with another family friend and he agreed to let her stay there as long as we help him take care of her until we decide whether or not we can keep her. Thus, Princess has more than one "owner". She may end up being ours one day, but we're waiting until the shock of losing Cinnamon passes until we make our decision. We were worried, at first, that so many changes would be stressful for Princess. However, she seems very well adjusted and seems to love having two "families".
Sort of update; Princess seems to fit in better with our friend so she may end up staying there. He seems to love her and she, him, and she, also, gets along with his dog. I'm not sure she's right for us, so we are discussing whether or not she should stay there. We've, also, ended up with Sweeney, so, that is being considered as well. Whatever happens, her profile will remain (and will hopefully have recent pictures soon!) and we will continue to visit her.
UPDATE: It turns out that the 'home' was not a match for Princess after all. My mother is currently taking care of her. She is an outside dog right now because it was my mother's decision. However, I will be making an effort to change that. So, hopefully, she won't be outside and tethered for too long. I have decided that, if possible, when I move I will try to talk my mother into letting me take her so I can make an indoor girl out of her.
The most lovable dog in the world.
