Arrival Story:
Our JR Winston needed a pal to play with as Casey is now 16 and not as lively a buddy as Winston would like so we worked with the JR Rescue to find a friend for Winston who would fit into our home. Kody had been in a shelter for a long time and not much was know about him when he came to us. He quickly showed us his bad side, growling and biting whenever we said "NO" to him or tried to retrieve something he had stolen. He "guards" everything and can be an intimidating little dog when his fangs are flashing! He gets along well with Winston and Casey and has come a long way with his behaviours and although he still has a long way to go I know he's going to be a great dog once we get it all under control.

Bio:
Kody was 4 years old when we rescued him and had never been house broken, crate trained and did not know any commands. His manners were atrocious and he helped himself to whatever he wanted off the counter or table. We've worked very hard with Kody and it is paying off. His manners aren't exactly party manners yet but he is getting there! He's learned so much in the short time we've had him and has so much potential. He can still bite when he's guarding something especially if he's stolen it but we have the help of a behaviorist who is helping us deal with his agression. He shows signs of being abused but is slowly learning to trust and I just know that some day he will be as loving and trusting as the other two....we just have to be patient and dilligent.
