Arrival Story: Zeus was owned by a family in the military who got orders to get stationed in Italy, and because of Zeus's severe sepperation anxiety the Vet recomended not to take him on the flight to Italy because it could give him a heart attack. We adopted him from the family knowing he was deaf. He was a year and a half when we adopted him. He was overly protective of our family for the first few months we had him. He would aggressivly approach people who came to the house. We would have to hold Zeus, have our guests sit down on the couch, and show Zeus that they were friends, and have Zeus meet them on his level. He is no longer aggressive towards guests and has become very loving towards all people with the exception of those who walk by the house, he will bark at them, but that is it. He is now friendly when we go on walks, and to petsmart.

Bio: Zeus is protective of his family, and his home, but would not hurt a fly in side the house or when with his parents. He loves his human kids ( ages 2 and 5) and will gently play with them, cuddle with them, and let them learn how to be "gentle" when petting him. He loves sitting in chairs next to his human, he prefers beach chairs. He can out snore anyone. He and the cat have a mutual understanding to leave each other alone. I take Zeus out to the barn with me, and on trail rides with the horses, and he is a phenomenal barn dog. He knows where to stand, and where not to stand around the horses, and loves chewing on the hoof trimmings after the farrier comes.
