Arrival Story:
I really wanted a min pin. I could not find any breeders in my area or any at all. I was really looking. I looked several times @ petfinder and applied for adoption through rescues but they all rejected me (age). My last time looking @ petfinder I found Skittles. She was so cute. I feel in love with her that moment. The following day I drove an hour and spent time with her put in an application. I was skeptical becuase they said she was popular and several people have put in an application for her. Surprisingly I guessed they liked something on my application because the next thing I knew I adopted her and was driving home.

Bio:
We have moved to our new apartment and I find that Skittles and I are of course best friends. I have a porch with this new apartment and allow skittles to walk out on it as I keep a very close eye on her, as well as taking her to the dog park most days to run around off leash (it's fenced in). I love Skittles very much find that when I am sad the best thing to do is to curl up with her in my arms and cry in her fur.

More Room For Me! PLUS PLUS A YARD!

We moved...again. Seriously I can't say how many times we moved but I can say I lived a lot of plaes and no matter where I go or what I move into my friend takes me with her. This time we moved into a house with a yard. It's not a huge yard, but its a yard. She allows me to freely roam between the house and yard by making a special situation so that I can do both.

I LOVE IT! I am able to run and bark outside and come in and check on my owner. She'll sleep or nap sometimes, watch TV, cook, whatever and I can just go outside and come inside. I never had a yard. I've been a city dog...an apartment dog. I am happy.

Only downside is classes started plus she works and now she doesn't have a lot of time. She tries sooo hard to make sure I have everything I need. I feel bad sometimes that she's so burnt but she tries...so hard. I know she makes sure I'm walked at night sometimes no matter how tire she is. She tries to share her food with me. She makes sure we cuddle every night on the couch, in bed, etc.

No more dog park though. I don't know how long. She claims her clutch is bad on her car...whatever that means. I believe its an excuse to not take me but as time goes on I realized she's really sad because she's not able to drive anywhere, but that's okay I love her.

Well I'm off to nap..lots of running around.

xoxo

This Cat Raine

Well I thought I was going to be along forever, but I guess not. Apparently mommy wanted ANOTHER pet! To my surprise she didn't get me a dog buddy, but a cat!!!! Whoa!

This cat, Raine, seems to have more freedom than I and I've been here LONGER! She gets to freely roam OUTSIDE AND INSIDE! I'm jealous. She even gets to hop on the counters, bed, couch, chair, window....everywhere!

The only thing I can't complain about is the extra effort to have 'me' time since we had the cat. She does nightly walks, plays more, and when the cat goes outside for fun she cuddles and gives me extra treats!

Well in the end I'm happy to have a buddy to play with. She and I get along well and often at times I fall asleep next to her. It's perfect!

Yay!

Donations/Help?

Hello!

My mom has been working hard all week trying to raise funds for my surgery. I've seen here on the phone and internet hours a day contacting various groups/organizations to help; however, times are so tough many are restricted in what they can give or I don't qualify :(

She is even asking friends and family to help, but little of them can. Now she's asking complete strangers to help, and she's not sure what else to do.

So far the surgery is $600 and she raised $175. She needs a bit more to get the surgery started $300. From there she will try throughout the next couple of months to raise funds, because the vet does do payment plans. Hopefully she'll get something.

If you can help, willing to help please let me know.

My mom has been on/off crying a lot and she's confused. She keeps asking me why and I don't know what to say. She ask that she has spend all her life being an animal advocate and volunteering and donating to shelters and never wanted anything in return...just hope that when she needs a lot of help someone out there or some group out there can help...but so far very few.

Anyone?
