Favorite Food: Anything! She's underweight and eats voraciously.
Best Tricks: Spinning round and round on her two back legs.
Arrival Story: This is my 6th foster dog, I just picked her up last night (2/14/05). The shelter said her owners dropped her off and said they just didn't want her anymore. She is underweight and her nails were waaay too long until I cut them after bathing her last night. I think she has the beginning stages of kennel cough.
Bio: 2/19/05: This sweet little girl died during the night last night. She was at the vet just yesterday and he agreed she probably had kennel cough and he prescribed something for her diarrhea. She was totally listless and I couldn't get her to eat or drink so I used a dropper to get a little food and water (and the medication) in her and then I nestled her in a blanket and laid her down to sleep. When I woke up this morning she wasn't moving and I knew as soon as I looked at her. I was devastated and I called the rescue group right away. They came to get her and take her back to the vet for a necropsy. (The rescue group thinks she might have had parvo.) I feel awful knowing she had to suffer in such sickness for the last few days. I'm so sorry Missy. 2/23/05: The vet determined Missy did have parvo. He said he hadn't thought to check for that since she's not a puppy. I keep seeing the image of her exhausted little body in my mind. It still makes me sad even though I had her for such a short time.
