Arrival Story:
2/15/05: I adopted Henna from the animal shelter on 2/10/05 because I think she's beautiful and she seemed very sweet. Unfortunately, they couldn't give me any information about how she is with cats. And I'll tell you how she is with cats: she seems to want to eat them. So the last 5 days have passed with a lot of closed doors, baby gates, kenneling, leashing, and juggling of animals. I want to keep working with her, but if I found a home that was good for her, I'd let her go for the well-being of my cats. I've been teaching her to sit, walk on a leash, respond to her name, stay off of furniture (because she's showing dominance and, from what I've read, keeping her on the floor will help her know that I'm the leader of the pack). She's very soft and I think her coloring is very pretty. Oh, and she has kennel cough too. :(

Bio:
5/1/05: So I had Henna up for adoption for two weeks at the end of February, but one day after coming home from Petsmart where I was showing her, she seemed to do a complete turnaround with the cats. It was as though she knew unless she stopped trying to capture and eat them, she was going to have to leave. Things aren't completely tension-free between the cats and her, but they are much better. Henna LOVES to run. And run FAST. That is her favorite play-thing to do. So I'm always looking for open fields where I can take her to run.
