Arrival Story:
Monday before Thanksgiving, I was at Petsmart and saw an Oriental man with this pei on a leash. I, of course, went to meet her. She was about 6 months old, and her harness was imbedded in her back, which this stupid guy had not even noticed. He said he was trying to sell her, and so I asked him how much and he said $100 - so I bought her to get her away from him. I did not intend to keep her. That's why she never did get a proper name! But, she's obviously here to stay...
Bio:
The poor baby had obviously never been a real part of a family or known life in a home. She barked at the tv, the dishwasher, and any other object that made a noise. She was unsocialized with other dogs, but after about 3 days of being skittish with the others, sweet Sisi "convinced" the Pei to let her clean the sore place on her back from where the harness had been - and after that, she calmed down and became one of the pack. She is very sweet, and wins everyone over, with her butterfly kisses.
