The humans and my doggy momma both say that I am now famous! What is famous? Am I supposed to feel different now that I am famous? I don't feel any different.
The humans and momma say that I am famous because there was a beautiful picture of me in color in the Florida Times Union yesterday. They say that I made the front page of the metro section!
This is how it happened- On Sunday, the humans took me, my momma Angel, and my Auntie Raven to Yappy Hour. Yappy Hour is a monthly event where the humans can bring their fur babies to the Jacksonville Landing for some fun! At Yappy Hour they have raffle drawings, live music, drinks for doggies and their owners, different booths for the owners to stop by and contests. On Sunday, it was the annual king/queen contest meaning all of us doggies got to walk down the runway and be judged by a panel of judges. Then, there was one queen and one king that would be chosen for year.
Of course the humans dressed me up along with my momma and Raven, and we all got to walk down the runway and show off for the judges and the many photographers that were taking pictures of all us dogs! One of the photographers was from the newspaper and got a picture of me acting all pretty and showing off for everyone to see. The next morning 5/23, that picture was on the front section of the metro page! So now, they all say that I am famous!!!!
Here is a link to the write-up about Yappy Hour and my picture. I am the adorable one wearing the pink dress. The article even mentions my Auntie Raven in it!!!

So, I heard about this really cool contest, and I just had to enter it!!!!
If it weren't for this thing called adoption, I probably would not be here today, and neither would my mommy. My mommy and I are sort of like... a package deal for our new owners, and thank dog they are up to the challenge!
This is the true story of how adoption has not only changed my life, but created my life:
My mommy is a wonderful doggie momma named Angel. I am very lucky to have such a wonderful doggie momma. My momma used to live with an older couple and had been living with them for a couple of years. Last summer, the couple found out that they lost their house and were going to have to move. The place where they were moving to did not allow dogs, so that meant my momma could not go with them.
The couple searched around, and found my human mommy and daddy. They said they would love to take Angel, and that is exactly what they did! But my story does not end there because I'm not here yet! Here is what happened-
My human parents did not realize that my doggie momma, Angel was not spayed. About a month after she had been living with them, Angel started gaining some weight. They took Angel to the vet and found out she was pregnant. My humans could have had Angel's pregnancy terminated, but they said it was meant to be, so they got a lot of information on dog pregnancy and started monitoring Angel and preparing for our birth.
Mommy went into labor with me and my siblings on January 24th, 2011. The humans could tell that something was not quite right with the labor, so they rushed Angel to an emergency vet. It turns out that one of my siblings (the one that did not make it) was stuck in mommy's birth canal. My mommy had to have an emergency c-section. Me and my brother were born on January 25, 2011, and the vet said that we were healthy and adorable!!! Now I can't argue with that statement.
Well, here it is in the beginning of May, and I am doing great! If the humans had not been willing to take my momma Angel in, Angel would have had to go to the pound, and who knows what would have happened. If the humans had not rushed Angel to the emergency vet when they realized there was something wrong with the labor, all of us would have died including mommy. So as you can see, my humans are wonderful! They are caring, kind, and I know they love me and mommy Angel very very much. They even made sure that my brother went to a wonderful and loving home where he will be spoiled for the rest of his life. Thank dog for humans and adoption!!!!!
