Arrival Story:
Lola was rescued from a shelter in Georgia by Big Dog Ranch Rescue and boarded at the dog daycare where I work. She was so shy and scared, I knew she would have a hard time getting adopted, so I brought her home to foster her. Of course, we fell in love with her and now she's ours. :)

Lola was already being used as a puppy mill breeder mama, she has clearly had many litters already, although she is only 2-3 years old. She probably spent most of her time in a cage- her molars and front teeth are worn down, and she is afraid of normal house noises. We think she lived outside in a cage. Right now she is undergoing heartworm treatment. She is the tiniest weim I have ever seen- she is barely 50lbs and is about half the height of a normal weim. She loves to hide in weird places- kitchen cabinets, the dryer, etc. She is still nervous outside on walks and prefers to relax on our bed, but we are taking our time and letting her go at her own pace. It is so wonderful to see her tail wag a little bit more every day. She could not be any sweeter to us or our other two dogs.
