Arrival Story: Over 30 yrs ago i had a dog. This dog, to date, was the best dog I ever had. I was told she was a cross of GSD, golden retriever, collie and maybe some wolf. Only recently I discovered she had been a carolina dog. I then searched and searched for another. Not by breed, because most shelters or most people don't know what they are. I searched every single dog within 100 miles of me that was listed on any site I could find. Alot of these dogs are listed as shepherd/ lab crosses (if they're the tan-orange color). Others are listed as min pin, terrier, etc crosses if they're the black/ tan color. Finally within 30 miles of where I live popped a carolina dog up on petfinder. She had been listed as a black mouth curr cross. Originally she'd been captured as a pitt cross of all things. So as you can see they can be listed under ANYTHING. So, cinnamon is now a new member of my family and is very very similar to the wonderful dog I had back in the 70's- 80's.
