Arrival Story: Smidgen came to someone's house as a stray and had a litter of pups in December. She was then brought to a shelter at the beginning of March without her babies and she was just a baby herself. The shelter is a very scary place for a sweet sensitive girl but she's now in foster care in New Jersey with Roger's Rescues awaiting her forever home.
Bio: Smidgen is a really sweet girl and very appreciative of loving words and petting. While she was hesitant and unsure when she first arrived at her new foster home, she quickly relaxed when she realized nobody meant her any harm. And now that she's found that she has a warm bed or a couch to curl up on, good food, and people to love and care for her, she's already blossomed into a happy loving dog. Her tail thumps like crazy whenever someone from her foster family walks in the room and she has discovered the dog toys and is having a blast with them! Smidgen weighs 33 lb, is current on vaccinations and preventatives, and has been spayed. She's great with other dogs and hasn't shown any interest in the resident cat. She is house trained, is figuring out the difference between dog toys and items that are off limits, and is very food motivated and eager to please so she should take easily to training.
