Arrival Story:
Sohpie is one of two dogs that actually came with the house we purchased. The previous owners were moving out of the country and couldn't take them along - and also hadn't found a home for them by moving day. They told us we could keep them or take them to the shelter - how could we not keep them??

Bio:
Sophie is a very gentle, sweet, undemanding old girl. I don't know her backround before her previous owners adopted her from Shelby Humane. She is pretty active for a dog her age, but she is missing all of her canines and incisors due to poor dental care earlier in her life. We have been caring for her teeth since we got her, and she has some of the prettiest white molars you'll ever see on an old dog! ;) She was also QUITE overweight when we got her, and while she still has some chub to contend with, has lost a good seven pounds already.
