Hotch has two bigs loves: food and snuggles!
Hotch is terrified of millipedes. He also doesn't like rude dogs - other dogs have a bad habit of attacking or overwhelming him!
Hotch loves his Kong, especially when it's filled with meat. He is also partial to anything he catches in the yard - gross!
Hotch loves all food, and some items that probably shouldn't be eaten as well.
Hotch loves going to Petsmart and local parks, and is adjusting to hiking.
Hotch does his "leave it" very well - enough so that I was able to get him to leave a venmous snake on our property alone!
I found Hotch on the side of a busy interstate in late February. He was starving and actually eating the carcass of a less fortunate dog who had already been hit by a car. Hotch was very frightened but due to his hunger I was able to lure him into the car with some beef jerky. Now that he is healthy and neutered, we are working on his socialization. He is very fearful and after being attacked by another dog on-lead is leash reactive.
Right now our main goal is to help Hotchner get over his fears, which are many. We suspect he was abused by the way he reacts to men, the scars on his body, and a broken rib the vet discovered. We need to socialize him with men, women, children, and other dogs. So if any local Dogster members want to meet up for playdates, that would be AWESOME.
