Arrival Story:
A former adopter called after 7PM and said an elderly neigbor found a dog in her yard and looked all day for an owner but had no luck. In the small town she had called vets, the pound and groomers. Nobody knew where he camne from. She did not want him and was going to call the pound and this person called me. My husband went out at 9PM to the next town and picked him up. He is a Poodle mix and young as well as a sweet boy. I am looking for his owner. If I don't find them he will belong to the rescue and after being vetted he will have a good home. On 3/31/11 Andy died at our vet's about noon today of Parvo. He was a precious little soul and we will never forget him and the gentle sweet puppy he was. The feel of his soft curly coat, the black shiny eyes that spoke to us of love and devotion and gratitude. We will meet again in the next world. He will climb on my lap and I will hold him close and tell him I love him as I did this morning. And I will sing to him again.

Bio:
Andy is very thin under his full coat. His nails were long and he so needs to be groomed. He seems young and healthy. He is very sweet and friendly and gets along with other dogs. He is a sweetie and easy to fall in love with. Andy died of Parvo virus after being sick only 3 days. He had been vaccinated but probably only the one time we did it. He had no immunity to Parvo and obviously contracted it before we vaccinated. It was too late. He was dieing when we took him in and didn't know it. We loved him and he loved us. He was happy here and left this earth knowing he was special to us. Fly with the angels sweet, gentle, little Andy.

So often I think of little Andy. So many dogs we have rescued, fostered or had a part in helping but still I carry Andy in my heart. So much we could have done for him. A new life of being loved and wanted. But it was not to be. I still miss you Andy.

It's my friend Buddy! Hi Buddy. Welcome to the Rainbow Bridge. I'm so sorry Mom has to loose another one of us. Her herat was not yet healed from my leaving. So what happend to you Buddy? I saw that you were sick, real sick. Well I was once very sick too but here there is no sickness, pain or sadness of any kind. Welcome Buddy my big sweet friend. Welcome.

Thank you to the kind person who gave me my wings. Mom cried again and then she just looked at how handsome I am. She knows that now I have peace from the terrable illness that invaded my little body. No more pain. I can still hear you singing to me mom. Tura, Lura, Lura and Irish Lulaby.
