Arrival Story:
My Roomate was in Kansas City and was walking his Aunts dogs and came across a couple who were walking their three big dogs...Larry asked them if the big white one was a Great Pyr. and they said yes, would you like to take her home ? They had been looking for a home for Emmie for a year and a half. They were fostering her and told him He could bring her back if it didn't work out....but they doubted that very much. He said he would love to but wouldn't know how well Emmie would get along with the other 23 animals we already had wich included Chickens, Ducks and 2 Cockatoos. They told him that Emmie was great with other animals and would actually protect them. So he brought her home and when I laid my eyes on her I was instantly in love and I said " Welcome Home Emmie ". Our life was changed that weekend. I have a new Best Friend. Emmie adores the chickens and ducks and the cockatoos...the cockatoos and the chickens walk circles around Emmie when they are in the same area and Emmie just lays there and is not the least bit concerned. The chickens eat emmies food out of her bowl outside and Emmie just lays there and says " whatever "..We are so happy to have found her and are extremely lucky that she fit right in with the rest of the family. She has become somewhat of a celebrity around town and everybody has to stop and pet her and talk to her and are astounded of her beauty. We just wish she was about 5 years younger because they only have a life span of ten...she turned 10 today. But she is healthy and We pray she stays with us much longer.
