Best Tricks: He can tap the keys of a toy piano with or without commands. See his video from puppy school graduation day.
Arrival Story: We were so sad after losing Quincy, and wondered whether we could bear to love and lose another dog again. The house was so empty and it was the first time we were dog-less in so many years. After meeting some Doodles at the dog park and talking to friends who had them, we decided to research some breeders which led us to Huey.
Bio: Huey is a Standard F1 English Cream Goldendoodle. His father is an English Cream Golden Retriever and his mother is a white Standard Poodle. There were 6 girls and 4 boys in the litter. He is a loving, playful dog, and has really helped our hearts heal.
Mom and Dad took me to see Santa today at PetSmart. We wanted to be first in line so we arrived a little early. Then we were told he was running a little late because he ripped his suit around his belly. I think he ate too much on Thanksgiving.
When Santa came walking down the aisle I growled at him. BOL! Then he sat in his chair and offered me some cookies which I ate. I was fine after that.
Mom is not too happy with the photo we got from them but she likes the frame. BOL She also brought our camera and took her own pictures. She isn't too happy with most of those either but she did put one on my page which she took!
We hung around outside the mall for awhile and I had to deal with the paparazzi again. People are always touching me and taking my picture so I have to carry my business cards wherever I go!
Dad says I'm a rock star. Well, I am very tired rock star right now!
After months of hearing about percolation ponds around us that allow dogs to swim in them on weekends, we went on an adventure yesterday to check one out.
We were the only ones on the trail and I had fun smelling stuff. I saw lots of ducks in the water but I was really trying to listen for some "woofs". Finally, I heard them! We went towards the woofing and saw three Golden Retrievers fetching and swimming in the water. One was not nice to me so his Mom scolded him and said he was very protective of her.
Well, we decided it was best that we didn't hang around with them and kept walking. I went to investigate the water and got my paws wet but didn't have any interest in swimming. I guess my parents should have known since I've had no interest in my pool at home. BOL!
Since we weren't far from the self-serve pet wash, my parents decided I was due for a bath anyway so I ended up getting wet after all!
It's still warm and sunny here in Caifornia but should be cooling down by the end of October. I can't wait to bark at the trick-or-treaters!
My parents wanted to get me something special so they picked out a bone-shaped pool! It arrived earlier this week and has been sitting in the yard empty. I think it's going to get filled with some water today so I can check it out! I know it's not like a big pool for humans, but I consider myself lucky that I have one and my parents don't!
I'm adding a picture of it to my page for now with no water, but hopefully that will change soon!
